Since 2004, Student Leaders® has been part of our ongoing commitment to youth employment and economic mobility. We’re helping prepare a pipeline of community-minded students to be successful in the workforce through leadership training and work experience.
Through our Student Leaders® program, we advance employment opportunities by connecting more than 300 community-minded students to employment, skills development and service.

Earn a paid, six‑week internship with a national nonprofit organization.
Attend our Leadership Summit where you will build career skills, explore how public/private sectors work to address critical community needs, and connect with peers and Bank of America leaders.

Student Leaders Program
Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County, Inc. is pleased to partner with Bank of America by hosting the students of the Bank of America Student Leaders® Program. Every year, through the Student Leaders program we help connect community-minded high school juniors and seniors to employment, skills development and service. They’re awarded paid summer internships with Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County and participate in our annual Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D. C.
Eligibility Criteria
Student Leaders is an eight-week summer experience for high school juniors and seniors and includes a paid internship with a local nonprofit organization as well as the Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. Through the internship and summit, young people have the opportunity to develop and apply leadership skills through hands-on community work experience while discovering their own talents for serving their community and leading others.
Eligible Student Leaders are required to
Currently be a junior or senior in high school, in good standing at your school
Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit/charitable organization (selected by Bank of America) and work 35 hours a week
Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship through the end of September
Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (All expenses paid as part of the Student Leaders program. This week will be part of your 8-week experience.)
Complete an online application and obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator
Be a resident of a community listed here »
