Key Responsibilities:
Performs skilled water safety work in preventing accidents and injuries at a County waterpark.
Safeguards patrons and enforces safety rules; rescues bathers in distress; performs emergency water rescue techniques; administers First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) when necessary.
Provides positive and professional assistance to patrons; assists with routine facility maintenance.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited schooling program, university/college. Must pass required skills test.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds regularly. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
 Necessary Special Requirement:
Must obtain American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training/recognized equivalent Certification within 30 days of hire (course is available at the Waterpark for candidates recommended for hire).

$15.45 Per Hour
Hours:
Variable hours/week; may be required to work holidays, evenings, and weekends. Total hours limited to 1,000 per calendar year.
